Workshops

I have created a number of workshops, and am available to present them at your space. I am also happy to create new content at your request.

Standing On Your Own Two Feet:
An experiential workshop that focuses on the integral role our oft-forgotten foundation. Includes self-massage, anatomy, and exercises to hone awareness, strength, and flexibility in the feet. Originally a 2-hour workshop, I have adapted it to various formats, including stretching it to three hours for Pilates teacher training, and shortening it to 90 minutes as a yoga class.

Yoga/Pilates Fusion classes:
There are a million trendy "fusion" classes out there that are blends of modalities. Often, they are taught by people who are trained to teach the "fusion", while actually *not* being qualified to teach any of the individual components. Reserving any judgment (okay fine, lol-- *trying* to reserve judgment), this just doesn't make sense to my sometimes overly-logical brain. Experience a class lovingly blended by a professional with a deep understanding of both fields, and who enjoys finding similarities and contrasts in shapes, skills, and philosophies. I could do this a thousand different ways, at any level of knowledge/skill, with focuses on particular exercises/poses, physical themes (such as extension, rotation, etc.), or ideologies. Feel free to request something your group is working on, or roll the dice and see what I show up with!

This can be shaped into a 60-, 90-, or 120-minute format.

Thai Bodywork-influenced passive yoga:
"Becky Golberg is nourishment for my soul. When I would take Asana stretch classes with her I felt deeply relaxed and centered in mind, body & spirit. Becky is so approachable and works with you were you are at in the moment.” - Dawn

Years ago, some of my teachers practiced a massage technique called Pranassage. They wished to make it more accessible/affordable, and adapted it into a group class, Prana Stretch, using music and essential oils, and having one teacher per four students. I was trained to be one of the teachers, and taught with them for several years. When the studio at which it was taught dissolved, I was asked to lead a similar class. Wanting to make it my own, I took Thai Yoga Massage training, mixed it with restorative yoga and some of the things I'd learned from my teachers/mentors, kept their 4-to-1 teacher to student structure*, and threw in some poetry reading/philosophical musings/meditation, and voila— Asana Stretch! On retreats, we call it Savasanassage. It's been called by many names, but what is consistent is the love and nurturing that goes into each class, resulting in a luxe and grounding experience.

Studio owners, this is a great thank you to your staff!

*4-to-1 ratio contingent on my being able to find available assistants. Price will vary depending on number of assistants used.

“Becky is compassionate and a well trained teacher. She is insightful and intuitive, always seeing when I need to push farther or stop. Becky is an excellent communicator and it is easy to follow her cues. Becky provides wisdom, support and encouragement and is dedicated to her students’ well being.”
